This Tested and Family Approved Recipe for The Ultimate Gluten Free White Bread is only $2.00 a loaf to make. Its deliciously soft and tastes just like Regular White Bread. It’s easy to make with simple ingredients and no kneading. I hope your family loves it as much as mine does. 

It’s wonderful to be able to make a gluten free bread that holds together, that isn’t too heavy or that costs $7.00 a loaf.  It is a little bit different from regular white bread because the dough is a thick batter instead of a firm dough. Other then that it’s the same , it even smells like regular bread when it’s baking. It makes amazing sandwiches or toast with peanut butter and jam. Slice the loaf into thin slices before freezing.

One of the reasons that I use rice flour in most of my recipes is because its so inexpensive. You can find it for $1.00 a bag at Asian Supermarkets or in the import sections at Larger Grocery Stores. It’s also very versatile and doesn’t have a weird after taste like a lot of other gluten free flours do.

Ingredients 

1 1/2 Cup Water (warm)

2 Tbsp Sugar

1 Tbsp Yeast (dry active)

2 Eggs

1/4 Cup Butter (melted)

1 Tsp Vinegar

2 1/2 Cups Rice Flour

1 Cup Potato Starch

1/2 Cup Corn Starch

1 Tsp Baking Powder

1 1/2 Tsp Xanthan Gum

Directions 

1.In a large mixing bowl, dissolve 1 Tbsp sugar in the lukewarm water. Then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let sit covered for 15 minutes.

2. Beat, then add the eggs, melted butter, vinegar and 1 Tbsp Sugar. Mix until well combined. Stir in the rice flour, potato starch, corn starch, baking powder and xantan gum. Beat the batter until smooth using a spatula. Place the dough into a lightly greased bread pan. Cover with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel. Let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until it has risen to the top of the pan.

3. Pre heat oven to 375 F.

4. Bake for approximately 35 minutes.
