Surprisingly (or perhaps not) gluten is found in most condiments! Take soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, tomato paste, BBQ sauce etc. Have had to turn to an app called GlutenCheck (it’s free) to decipher which ingredients are safe for me to eat.

Thanks 🙂 I’ll definitely check that app out 🙂

Thanks for following my curiositycafe.wordpress.com blog! I have two blogs, and I’m almost to the place where I can have a separate gravitar for curiositycafe. Really glad to find your blog, because my son, age 42, just found out he’s gluten sensitive about a year ago. You have great info in your blog, thanks!

Soy sauce and salad dressing are two that get me. But, I’ve learned to love tamari sauce.

Be careful of pickles! Most contain Malt vinegar (gives the pickles the crunch). And is only listed as “vinegar” on labels! Just about anything pickled such as peppers, veggies etc. With CD wheat is only 1 of major issues…also Barley & Malt! Hope this helps!

My newest gluten find was when I was told that most restaurants pour a marinade over steak while grilling. It appears it always has gluten!
