Recipe Notes For Making the Best Club Sandwich Skewers
- Serve the sandwich skewers with dip. You can serve the skewer with ranch, mayo or honey mustard. You can also drizzle a little bit of salad dressing over the skewers before eating if you prefer.
- Keep sandwich leftovers refrigerated. If you’re making them ahead of time, wrap the sandwich skewers tightly with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and pack them in an airtight container.
- To make a hole in the cheese without breaking the cheese in half, try using a skewer to gently make a pilot hole. Flip the cheese over and poke the skewer through from both sides.
- To fold the turkey, try folding the slice accordion or paper fan style. Then fold in half by folding the bottom up before skewering.
- Any type of lunch meat or hard cheese can used for this recipe.
- Grilling the bread before skewering is optional. You can toast and butter the bread instead of grilling it, if you prefer to. You can also spread mayonnaise on the bread instead but I don’t recommend if the sandwiches are going to be sitting our for a while.
- Garlic powder can be used instead of the garlic puree if desired. Minced garlic will also work.
