Recipe Tips for Making the Best Egg Fried Rice with Ground Beef
- Make sure to use gluten free soy sauce. You could also use coconut amino or gluten free hoisin sauce instead of the soy sauce.
- I make this recipe with ground beef. However, you could also use ground turkey, chicken, or vegetarian crumbles. You could also use thinly slice sirloin.
- You can use almost any kind of vegetables for this recipe. Some other great options are: peas, mushrooms, asparagus, zucchini, cabbage, and snap peas.
- If you don’t have previously cooked rice, let your freshly cooked rice cool before using it for fried rice.
- You can use any type of rice for this recipe. Although I prefer Jasmin or Basmati rice, brown, sticky or long grain rice will also work perfectly.
- The butter can be switched out for your preferred cooking oil if desired.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Cooking the beef and vegetables separately in the pan allows for the beef to caramelize better than if they were mixed together. That being said it’s not absolutely necessary. You could cook them mixed together if preferred.
