A savory take on traditional waffles! These Cornbread Waffles have a nice crunch on the outside with a soft, slightly crumbly inside. They’re a fun remix of traditional cornbread that goes great with soup, stew, chili or your favourite toppings. They go with all the things and hold up super well to bold flavours. You can also treat them like traditional waffles and dress them with a spread of butter and a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.

- Spray the waffle maker with nonstick cooking spray or brush with melted butter before adding the batter each time.
- If you are planning to freeze corn bread waffles, take a little off of the cooking time, or if you have the option set your waffle iron to a “lighter” setting. This gives you the option of toasting to reheat and not get overly crispy.
- To make dairy-free waffles exchange the milk for almond milk, coconut milk or rice milk.
