Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich

This Keto & Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich is the easiest way to eat a Clubhouse Sandwich without eating all the Carbs. The Sandwich is essentially bread free. Instead it’s made Lettuce Wrap Style… using lettuce leaves between the layers instead of bread.

How To Make a Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich

To make this Keto & Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich, you start by cooking the bacon and warming up the cooked chicken. Then cut the 6 large lettuce leaves into square(ish) shapes. Lay 2 lettuce leaves onto a plate and spread 1/2 of the mayonnaise onto it.

Next lay the ham, chicken and cheese on top. Cover the meat with another 2 lettuce leaves and spread the other 1/2 of the mayonnaise on top of them. Place the tomato slices and bacon on top of that. Cover with the last two lettuce slices, then poke 4 tooth picks or skewers into the middle of each of the corners. Slice the sandwich into 4, by slicing corner to corner.

WHAT IS THE KETOGENIC DIET?

If you haven’t heard of The ketogenic diet (often called keto), it’s a very low-carb, high-fat diet that shares similarities to paleo, Whole30, and Atkins. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake, and replacing it with fat. When in ketosis, your body switches to burning fat for its primary fuel source.

On Keto, you’re supposed to get at least 70 percent of your calories from Fat, 15 to 25 percent from Protein, and 10 percent from Carbohydrates. You should avoid all grains, legumes, root vegetables, fruit, (except berries) and sugar.

This recipe show’s you how to make a Low Carb Chicken Club Sandwich. It’s a Healthy Keto Lunch or Dinner that can be thrown together quickly. The lettuce wrap clubhouse can be made with many variations. I sometimes like to switch out the Chicken Breast with Turkey Breast or Deli Meat and If I want a few less calories, I’ll skip the ham and Cheese.

Ingredients

6 Lettuce Leaves (Iceberg)

6 oz Chicken Breast (cooked)

4 Slices of Bacon

4 oz Deli Ham

2 Slices Cheese

4 Slices Tomatoes

2 Tbsp Mayonaise

Directions

1. Cook the bacon and warm up the cooked chicken. Then cut the 6 large lettuce leaves into square(ish) shapes.

2. Lay 2 lettuce leaves onto a plate and spread 1/2 of the mayonnaise onto it. Next lay the ham, chicken and cheese on top. Cover the meat with another 2 lettuce leaves and spread the other 1/2 of the mayonnaise on top of them.

Recipe Notes:

– Using a store bought roasted chicken works well for this recipe. Deli Chicken slices can also be used if preferred.

– I used clean scissors to cut the lettuce leaves into a nice square shape.

– The Clubhouse can be wrapped with folded parchment or waxed paper before slicing if you need a less messy on the go option.

Keto Bacon California Rolls

These Keto Bacon California Rolls can be made in under 30 minutes. The Keto Style Sushi doesn’t contain any rice, cauliflower rice or seaweed/nori. With only 4 Ingredients… It’s naturally Gluten, Dairy and Sugar Free. The Easy to Make Bite Sized Bacon Sushi Style Rolls are Stuffed Crab and Avocado and Sprinkled with Toasted Sesame Seeds.

How to Make Keto Bacon Califorina Rolls

To make this yummy Keto Sushi, you start by preheating your oven to 400 F. Then lay the strips of bacon onto a parchment paper lined baking tray and bake for 18 – 20 minutes, tuning the bacon half way. (the bacon can also be cooked in a frying pan.)

Next, pat the cooked bacon with paper towel to remove some of the grease. Roll the bacon into rolls while it’s still warm. Place the bacon rolls on their side to cool. Once the bacon has cooled, unroll it and place a slice of avocado and piece of crab onto one end then roll the bacon up into a roll. Sprinkle each of the rolls with sesame seeds. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Ingredients

12 Slices Bacon

1/2 Cup Crab Meat (fresh, frozen or canned)

1/2 of an Avocado

1 Tsp Sesame Seeds (toasted)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Lay the strips of bacon onto a parchment paper lined baking tray and bake for 18 – 20 minutes, tuning the bacon half way. (the bacon can also be cooked in a frying pan.)

2. Pat the cooked bacon with paper towel to remove some of the grease. Then roll the bacon into rolls while it’s still warm. Place the bacon rolls on their side to cool.

3. Unroll the bacon and place a slice of avocado and piece of crab onto one end. Then roll the bacon up into a roll. Sprinkle each of the rolls with the toasted sesame seeds. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

This recipe makes 12 pieces of Keto Sushi.

Recipe Notes:

– Fresh, Frozen or Canned Crab can be used for this recipe. Some imitation crab can also be used but it’s important to check the ingredients because some brands contain wheat. Imitation crab also has more carbs than real crab.

– The bacon can be cooked in a frying pan instead of the oven.

– If you’d like more of a rice texture, you can try using a small amount of cauliflower rice mixed with cream cheese. (The cream cheese will help it stick together. )

– 1/2 Cup Crab is equal to approximately 8 oz or 225 g.

10 slices of Bacon

This Recipe Makes 10 Bacon Wrapped Chicken Skewers.

Recipe Notes:

– If using wooden skewers, you’ll need to soak the skewers in water before using.

– When wrapping the chicken skewers with bacon… it’s best to not over lap the bacon (as much as possible). This will help the bacon cook evenly and get it nice and crispy.

– If you can’t find low carb bbq sauce, you can either make a homemade one or just skip it altogether.

– This recipe can also be made on a bbq on the lowest setting, instead of using the oven.

– The bacon wrapped chicken can also be made without the skewer. Just place the bacon wrapped chicken onto the wire rack the same way.

– You can skip the wire rack if needed but you’ll need to turn the skewers more often and you’ll also want to pour off the excess grease a few times.

How to Make Keto Cheesy Bacon Garlic Bread

To Make this Keto Cheesy Bacon Garlic Bread you start by melting  the shredded mozzarella and the cream cheese in a frying pan over medium heat. (This step can also be done in a microwave) Remove from the heat, then stir the melted cheeses until they’re well combined. Using a mixing bowl, mix the eggs in until fully combined. Then add the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, minced garlic and oregano to the cheese mixture. Mix until well combined.

Between 2 pieces of parchment paper, press the dough into a rectangle. Remove the top piece of parchment paper and bake 15 minutes. Mix the minced garlic with the butter and garlic powder. Then spread the garlic butter over the partially cooked bread. Cover with the toppings and bake for another 5 minutes. Cut the keto bacon garlic bread into 14 pieces.

Ingredients

For The Fathead Dough:

2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded

3 Tbsp Cream Cheese

2 Eggs

1/2 Cup Almond Flour

1/4 Cup Coconut Flour

1 Tsp Baking Powder

1/2 Tsp Xanthan Gum (optional)

1 Tsp Oregano

2 Cloves Garlic (minced)

For the Topping:

6 slices Bacon (cooked)

1/4 Cup Mozzarella Cheese

1/4 Cup Cheddar Cheese

1 Clove Garlic (minced)

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1 Tsp Butter

Directions 

1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Melt the shredded mozzarella and the cream cheese in a frying pan over medium heat. (This step can also be done in a microwave) Remove from the heat, then stir the melted cheeses until they’re very well combined. Using a mixing bowl, mix the eggs in until fully combined. Then add the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, xanthan gum, minced garlic and oregano to the cheese and egg mixture. Mix until well combined.

2. Between 2 pieces of parchment paper, press the dough into a rectangle. Remove the top piece of parchment paper and bake 15 minutes. Mix the minced garlic with the butter and garlic powder. Then spread the garlic butter over the partially cooked bread. Cover with the toppings and bake for another 5 minutes. Cut the keto bacon garlic bread into 14 pieces.

This recipe makes 14 pieces of Keto Cheesy Bacon Garlic Bread.

Recipe Notes:

– To make a nice flat edge… I folded the edges of the parchment paper and dough, then pressed it back down with the edge still folded.

– Melting the shredded mozzarella and the cream cheese in a microwave depends on how powerful you microwave is. My rule of thumb is to melt the cheese in increments of 30 seconds and stir. I did 2 30 seconds and an extra 15.

– When making the fathead dough it feels like it’s going to be too wet at first but if you keep mixing it, it thickens. It’s important for it to be mix very well.

– I roll out my rectangle to be approximately 12″ x 6″.

– Use Parchment Paper (NOT waxed paper)

If you haven’t heard of The ketogenic diet (often called keto), it’s a very low-carb, high-fat diet that shares similarities to paleo, Whole30, and Atkins. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake, and replacing it with fat. When in ketosis, your body switches to burning fat for its primary fuel source.

On Keto, you’re supposed to get at least 70 percent of your calories from Fat, 15 to 25 percent from Protein, and 10 percent from Carbohydrates. You should avoid all grains, legumes, root vegetables, fruit, (except berries) and sugar.

To make these delicious Keto Chicken Bacon Ranch Cheese Wraps start by preheating your oven to 375 F. Cover a baking pan with parchment paper (Not Waxed paper). Spread the 6 slices of cheese out onto the pan with the edges touching in 2 rows of 3. Bake the cheese for 4 – 6 minutes or until the edges start to turn brown.

– Grated cheese can also be used as a substitute for the cheese slices.

– I used a store bought roasted chicken and precooked bacon. Any type of cooked chicken will work.

– Wrapping the finished cheese wrap with parchment or waxed paper makes the wrap feel fancier and helps hold the wrap together if packing in a lunchbox.

To make these delicious Keto Bacon Skewers with Brown Sugar Glaze you start by, soaking you skewers in water. (If using wooden skewers) Then preheat your oven to 400 F. Line a lipped baking pan with tin foil, then place a wire rack on top. In a small bowl mix the melted butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Thread the bacon onto the skewers, one piece per stick. Then place the skewers evenly onto the wire rack. 1/4 Tsp Cinnamon

2 Tbsp Melted Butter

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 400 F. Line a lipped baking pan with tin foil, then place a wire rack on top. In a small bowl mix the melted butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon.

2. Thread the bacon onto the skewers, one piece per stick. Then place the skewers evenly onto the wire rack. Use a spoon or basting brush to coat both sides with the brown sugar and butter. (Try not to get sugar on the pan)

Recipe Notes:

– To make these Bacon Skewers Low Carb and Keto use a Brown Sugar Substitute such as Brown Sugar Swerve. 

– The skewers can be made directly on a pan without a rack but they must be watched closely. Using parchment paper instead of tin foil is a better option but both with will work.  Sugar that gets onto the pan may start to burn. To combat this, try replacing the parchment paper with a fresh piece half way through baking.

– The brown sugar candied bacon can be made directly on the rack without a skewer if desired…but the stick does make it way more fun to eat!

Ingredients
  • 12 Slices Bacon
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar (substitute)
  • ¼ Tsp Cinnamon

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 F. Line a lipped baking pan with tin foil, then place a wire rack on top. In a small bowl mix the melted butter with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Thread the bacon onto the skewers, one piece per stick. Then place the skewers evenly onto the wire rack. Use a spoon or basting brush to coat both sides with the brown sugar and butter. (Try not to get sugar on the pan)

How to Make Keto Dill Pickle Fat Bombs

To make these delicious Dill Pickle Fat Bombs, you start by frying the bacon until crispy, then set it aside to cool. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with the diced up pickles, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped dill, garlic powder and pickle juice. Mix until very well combined.

– If you don’t eat bacon, you can roll your fat bombs in grated cheese or parmesan cheese and herbs or in crushed nuts. Leaving the naked is also a great option.

This Gluten Free and Keto Bacon and Egg Breakfast Quesadilla only takes 6 Ingredients to Make. It’s made with a Delicious Cheese Shell Tortilla that’s stuffed with Fluffy Scrambled Eggs and Crispy Bacon. It’s a simple yet satisfying breakfast that’s Easy to Throw together, making it Perfect for Busy Mornings or Family Brunch.

How to Make a Keto Bacon and Egg Breakfast Quesadilla

To make these Tasty Keto Bacon and Egg Breakfast Quesadilla, preheat oven to 400 F. Then cover a pizza pan with Parchment Paper (NOT wax paper). Mix the Cheeses together, then evenly spread them over the parchment paper (in a circle shape). Bake the cheese shell for 5 minutes. Pour off any extra oil as soon as it comes out of the oven.

Jalapeno Bacon Bombs

These Creamy Keto & Gluten Free Jalapeno Bacon Bombs are Perfect for Game Day!!!! The Tasty Little Morsels are Really Easy to Make and are Packing Just the Right Amount of Heat. They Can Be Made Ahead of Time, Which Makes Preparing for Game Day that Much Easier. I found these Jalapeno Bacon Bombs are nice change from Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños but Equally as Tasty!

How to Make Jalapeno Bacon Bombs

In a small bowl mix the softened cream cheese with the diced pickled jalapeños and the shredded havarti cheese. Mix until well combined then set aside.

Cut the bacon slices in half then lay them in a t shape using a mini muffin pan or baking pan.  Place 1 Tbsp of the jalapeno cream cheese mixture onto the centre of the t’s.

Tightly wrap the edges of the bacon over the cream cheese, then use a tooth pick to secure it. If using a mini muffin pan – Bake for 5 – 7 minutes – then transfer to a baking pan and bake for another 20 -25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. To make these Jalapeno Bacon Bombs I used Pickled Jalapenos. I used them because I prefer the taste and texture. You could use fresh Jalapeños instead. I would roast them in the oven a little before adding them to the cream cheese. Also you could use Mozzarella Cheese instead of Havarti if you’d like to. I used a mini muffin pan to help them keep they’re shape. I only used the muffin pan for the first 5 minutes or so of baking so that the would hold they’re shape a bit better. I then moved the bacon bombs to a baking pan to finish baking. This just made it a bit easier to pour off the grease. You could easily skip this step and bake them in a baking pan from the beginning, if you prefer too.
