This incredibly easy to make Creamy Jalapeño Sauce tastes great on everything. It’s a must-make if you like Jalapeños! The delicious sauce is perfect for adding flavour to tacos, nachos, or burgers and is amazing as a topping for steak, chicken or fish. It can be made as spicy or as mild as you want it to be, depending on how many seeds you add.

FAQ’s about Making Creamy Jalapeño Sauce

Is this Creamy Jalapeño Sauce Spicy? –  No, it’s not spicy. If all of the seeds are removed, there is only very slight heat. If you like your jalapeño sauce spicy, you can mix some of the jalapeño seeds in or add chili pepper flakes, cayenne pepper.

What do you put Creamy Jalapeño Sauce on? – This is one of keep in the fridge and put on everything kind of sauces. Some of my favourite things to put this sauce on are: tacos, nachos, burgers, hot dogs, baked potatoes, salads, eggs and steak. I’m sure it would be so good on many other things too.

Can I eat Creamy Jalapeño Sauce if I’m on a Gluten Free diet? – Yes! Creamy Jalapeño Sauce is naturally gluten free. The delicious taco sauce is low carb and keto approved as well. 

Is Creamy Jalapeño Sauce Vegan? – Yes, this Creamy Jalapeño Sauce can easily be made dairy free, vegetarian and vegan by skipping the sour cream. The sauce will still be deliciously creamy without the sour cream. So feel free to skip it if you’d prefer to.

Can I use a food processor instead of using a blender? – It may not be as smooth as a blender, but it will work out well.

What oil should I use to make Jalapeño Sauce? – I’ve used olive oil, avocado oil and a more neutral oil like sunflower or canola oil. I personally don’t think it matters that much and prefer either avocado or olive oil. However, some people prefer canola oil for a more neutral flavour.

What Ingredients Do You Need to Make Creamy Jalapeño Sauce?

Here’s what you’ll need to make this delicious jalapeño taco sauce: (See recipe card below for full printable recipe)

  • Jalapeños – Fresh
  • Onion – Small yellow onion
  • Garlic – Fresh Cloves
  • Sour Cream – Optional (can be skipped if preferred)
  • Lime juice – Can be swapped out for white vinegar
  • Salt – I use sea salt
  • Oil – Avocado or olive oil

How Do You Make Creamy Jalapeño Sauce?

Here’s how to make this creamy jalapeño sauce: (See recipe card below for full printable recipe)

Step 1: Remove the ribs and seeds from the jalapeños then slice them into 1/2 inch slices. Dice the onion and garlic.

Step 2: Add the jalapeños, onions and garlic to a pot and add just enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 – 12 minutes. Strain the peppers but make sure to keep some of the water for later.

Step 3: Add the cooked jalapeños, onions and garlic to a blender along with the lime juice, sour cream and salt. Add 1/4 cup of the jalapeño water and blend until smooth, 1 -2 minutes. (add a little more of the jalapeño water if needed)

Step 4: While the blender is still running, gradually pour in the oil. Continue processing until the mixture becomes creamy.

Step 5: Chill in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve it. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes For Making The Best Creamy Jalapeño Sauce:

  • Remove the ribs and seeds from the jalapeños unless you like your sauce extra spicy. I recommend removing the ribs and seeds from the jalapeño peppers. That way you get their wonderful flavour and a little bit of heat, but not overwhelmingly so.
  • If you’d like to add little spice to your jalapeño sauce, you can add some or all of the jalapeño seeds along with the jalapeño.
  • Store the sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • You can use a food processor instead of using a blender. It may not be as smooth as a blender, but it will work out well.
  • The jalapeños, onions and garlic can be sautéed in a frying pan instead of being boiled, if preferred.
  • I find that 1 teaspoon of salt is perfect BUT if you are sensitive to salt, then I recommend starting with less and adding to taste.
  • Adding sour cream is optional. The sauce can easily be made dairy free, vegetarian and vegan by skipping the sour cream. It will still be deliciously creamy without the sour cream. So feel free to skip it if you’d prefer to.

  • 10 Jalapeños

Notes

  • Adding sour cream is optional. The sauce can easily be made dairy free, vegetarian and vegan by skipping the sour cream. It will still be deliciously creamy without the sour cream. So feel free to skip it if you'd prefer to. 
  • I like the sauce on the milder side, so I seeded and ribbed the jalapeños before chopping, but you can leave the seeds and ribs in if you prefer it spicy.
  • I’ve used olive oil, avocado oil and a more neutral oil like sunflower or canola oil. I personally don’t think it matters that much and prefer either avocado or olive oil. However, some people prefer canola oil for a more neutral flavour.

  • Roasted corn has a fantastic flavour, which is why it’s perfect for this salad. While you can use cooked frozen or canned corn, the extra step of roasting a whole ear of corn then removing the kernels is worth it.

To make this grilled corn salad recipe you’ll need:

  • Corn – corn on cob or use frozen corn
  • Butter – or your preferred cooking oil
  • Bacon – cooked crispy and chopped up
  • Jalapeños – sliced with the seeds removed
  • Cream cheese – for creamy jalapeño popper flavour
  • Mayonnaise – or light mayo for less calories
  • Sour cream – or greek yogurt
  • Cheddar cheese – shredded
  • Garlic powder – or minced fresh garlic
  • Green Onion – chopped
  • Salt – and pepper if desired

How do you make Jalapeño Popper Corn Salad?

Here’s how to make this easy corn salad recipe:

Step 1: Preheat the grill to medium high heat.

Step 2: Coat each corn cob with melted butter. Wrap completely with foil. Place foil wrapped corn cobs on grill, cover. Grill 15-20 minutes, rotate every 2-3 minutes. Remove the foil during the last minute or 2 to allow the smoky flavour to develop. Remove from grill and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Cut kernels off of cobs. (should yield approx 5 cups)

Step 3: Mix kernels with chopped jalapeños, bacon pieces, cream cheese, mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir.

Step 4: Stir in shredded cheese, garlic powder, green onions and salt. Enjoy.

Recipe Notes For Making The Best Jalapeño Popper Corn Salad

  • This recipe is very adaptable. Use mozzarella or pepper jack cheese instead of the cheddar cheese or leave the cheese out altogether. It can also be made vegetarian, if you exclude the bacon.
  • Instead of grilling the corn, boil or steam it or use canned corn or frozen corn that has been cooked.
  • To make a lower fat version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and reduced-fat cream cheese and light mayo.
  • To prepare the jalapeños, cut the jalapeños into 1/4-inch slices. Trim the tail end and the stem; you can discard those. Next, you have a choice. You can remove the seeds or leave them in. The seeds, and inner membranes, hold the most heat, so removing those can be a way to adjust the heat level. Be careful what you touch with your hands.  If you happen to touch your eyes after chopping jalapeños, it will be quite uncomfortable! If you’re worried, you can always use gloves and eliminate the risk.

What is a Fat Bomb?

A Fat Bomb is similar to an energy ball or bar, which tends to be based around high carb and sugar-heavy ingredients like dates and oats. Fat bombs instead have high-fat, low-carb additions such as coconut oil, peanut butter, cream cheese or bacon.

Fats take longer to break down in the digestive tract, keeping our blood sugar levels stable and helping us to feel fuller for longer. Despite their name, these high fat snacks could actually be very beneficial to your diet plan.

Step 1: Start by frying the bacon until crispy, then set it aside to cool. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with the diced up jalapenos, shredded cheddar cheese, 1 Tbsp of the chopped parsley and garlic powder. Mix until very well combined.

Step 2: Chop up the cooked bacon and remaining parsley, then put it in a small bowl. Make 12, small balls with the jalapeno and cream cheese mixture. Then roll the jalapeno cheese balls in the bacon and parsley.

WHAT IS THE KETOGENIC DIET?

RECIPE NOTES:

  • Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • You can use any kind of flavourful cheese you prefer.
  • Removing the seeds from the Jalapeños makes them considerably less spicy. If you like your fat bombs spicy, try leaving some of the seeds in and or adding a tsp or 2 of hot sauce before mixing.
  • Pickled Jalapeños can be used instead of the fresh jalapeños. They are softer and have less of a raw pepper texture.
  • If you don’t eat bacon, you can roll your fat bombs in grated cheese or parmesan cheese and herbs or in crushed nuts. Leaving the naked is also a great option.
  • I washed my hands between each ball. This helped keep the bacon nice and clean and crispy.

How to make Keto Jalapeño Popper Dip

Make this delicious Keto Jalapeno Popper Dip Recipe in 4 Easy Steps:

Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees F. Using a mixer on medium, mix the cream cheese, sour cream and garlic powder until it’s light and fluffy.

Step 2: Dice up and add the jalapeños, then add the cheddar cheese. Mix on medium until the cheese and jalapeños are completely mixed through.

Step 3: Spread the dip in a oven safe dish or skillet and bake for 15 – 20 minutes.

These Two Bite Keto Jalapeño Popper Taquitos are Made with Only 4 Ingredients. They’re Super Quick to Make and only have 1 g Net Carbs per 2 Taquitos. They make a great Keto Appetizer or Snack for Game Day or for serving at Holiday Parties. They can be Thrown Together Quickly and can also be Made Ahead and Warmed up right before Serving.

How To Make Keto Jalapeño Popper Taquitos

To make these Keto Jalapeño Popper Taquitos you start by, preheating your oven to 400 F. Then in a small bowl mix the softened cream cheese with the diced pickled jalapeños and the shredded havarti cheese. Mix until well combined. Then use a microwave to warm the mixture, 25 – 30 seconds should be enough.

Cut the cheese slices in half then place them onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Bake for 4 – 5  minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool for 1- 2 minutes. Flip upside down, then place a few spoonfuls of the jalapeño cream cheese on the edge of each shell. Tightly roll each one into a cigar shape. ( You need to do this quite quickly, before the cheese hardens )

  • Fresh Jalapeños can be used instead of the pickled jalapeños.

It’s been my go to breakfast for the last year because it’s so satisfyingly delicious. Pickled Jalapeños are my personal favourite but they can easily be swapped out for fresh jalapeños. I cut the fresh jalapeños into strips them fry them in butter before adding them to the eggs.

Recipe Tips:

– The pickled Jalapeños can be swapped out for fresh Jalapeños if desired.

– Removing the seeds from the jalapeños before cooking, will make them considerably less spicy.

– Using the proper skillet or pan is important to successful omelette making. The ideal skillet for a 1, 2 or 3-egg omelette is about 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter at the base. It should be shallow with sloping sides to make it easier to slide the omelette out of the skillet and onto a plate.

– An omelette can be made quickly and easier if the skillet is hot when the egg mixture is added. The skillet is hot enough when a drop of water rolls around instead of bursting into steam immediately.

– Preparing individual omelettes, rather than one large one, will result in lighter and fluffier omelettes that are easier to handle.

– The Omelette recipe can be multiplied for as many servings as you need.

These Creamy Keto & Gluten Free Jalapeno Bacon Bombs are Perfect for Game Day!!!! The Tasty Little Morsels are Really Easy to Make and are Packing Just the Right Amount of Heat. They Can Be Made Ahead of Time, Which Makes Preparing for Game Day that Much Easier. I found these Jalapeno Bacon Bombs are nice change from Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños but Equally as Tasty!

How to Make Jalapeno Bacon Bombs

In a small bowl mix the softened cream cheese with the diced pickled jalapeños and the shredded havarti cheese. Mix until well combined then set aside.

Cut the bacon slices in half then lay them in a t shape using a mini muffin pan or baking pan.  Place 1 Tbsp of the jalapeno cream cheese mixture onto the centre of the t’s.

Tightly wrap the edges of the bacon over the cream cheese, then use a tooth pick to secure it. If using a mini muffin pan – Bake for 5 – 7 minutes – then transfer to a baking pan and bake for another 20 -25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. ( The mini muffin pan is help keep their shape but this step can be skipped)

Drain off the fat a few times throughout baking. If you’re using a baking pan bake for 25 -30 minutes, turning them a few times throughout, also pour off the grease when turning.

To make these Jalapeno Bacon Bombs I used Pickled Jalapenos. I used them because I prefer the taste and texture. You could use fresh Jalapeños instead. I would roast them in the oven a little before adding them to the cream cheese. Also you could use Mozzarella Cheese instead of Havarti if you’d like to. I used a mini muffin pan to help them keep they’re shape. I only used the muffin pan for the first 5 minutes or so of baking so that the would hold they’re shape a bit better. I then moved the bacon bombs to a baking pan to finish baking. This just made it a bit easier to pour off the grease. You could easily skip this step and bake them in a baking pan from the beginning, if you prefer too.

Jalapeno Bacon Bombs

“These Creamy Keto & Gluten Free Jalapeno Bacon Bombs are Perfect for Game Day!!!! The Tasty Little Morsels are Really Easy to Make and are Packing Just the Right Amount of Heat. They Can Be Made Ahead of Time, Which Makes Preparing for Game Day that Much Easier. I found these Jalapeno Bacon Bombs are nice change from Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños but Equally as Tasty!”

Ingredients 

12 Slices Bacon

3/4 Cup Cream Cheese

1/4 Cup Pickled Jalapeños (diced)

1/4 Cup Shredded Havarti Cheese

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Then in a small bowl mix the softened cream cheese with the diced pickled jalapeños and the shredded havarti cheese. Mix until well combined then set aside.

2. Cut the bacon slices in half then lay them in a t shape using a mini muffin pan or baking pan.  Place 1 Tbsp of the jalapeno cream cheese mixture onto the centre of the t’s. Tightly wrap the edges of the bacon over the cream cheese, then use a tooth pick to secure it.

3. If using a mini muffin pan – Bake for 5 – 7 minutes – then transfer to a baking pan and bake for another 20 -25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. ( The mini muffin pan is help keep their shape but this step can be skipped) Drain off the fat a few times throughout baking.

If you’re using a baking pan bake for 25 -30 minutes, turning them a few times throughout, also pour off the grease when turning.

This recipe makes 12 Jalapeno Bacon Bombs.

  • 12 Slices Bacon

These Gluten Free Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits are so Soft and Flaky. They’re also incredibly Cheesy and are packing just the right amount of Heat from the Jalapenos.  I used pickled Jalapenos, which I thought worked perfectly. If you Prefer, you could use fresh Jalapeno Slices instead. You can also make your own Buttermilk by adding a Tbsp of Lemon Juice to regular Milk.

The best thing about these Gluten Free Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits is that they’re so quick and easy to make. They’re much easier to make than buns and they taste just as good. We had them with Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo for Dinner and then again with Omelettes and Hashbrowns fo breakfast in the morning. They went so well with both meals, that I couldn’t tell you which one I preferred. One of the reasons that I use rice flour in most of my recipes is because its so inexpensive. You can find it for $1.00 a bag at Asian Supermarkets or in the import sections at Larger Grocery Stores. It’s also very versatile and doesn’t have a weird after taste like a lot of other gluten free flours do.

Note: Rice Flour can vary from brand to brand. I’ve found that measurements can be different depending on the brand you’re using. The Thai brand which has red writing on the bag is ground finer and can take more than the Indian rice flour that I get at Superstore. Both brands work wonderfully but there is a slight difference in the measurements, as I mentioned. Because of this, I like to add the flour a little a time until the consistency is right.

Gluten Free Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits

Ingredients

1 1/4 Cups Rice Flour

1/2 Cup Potato Starch (corn or tapioca)

3 Tsp Baking Powder

5 Tbsp Butter

3/4 Cup Buttermilk

1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1/2 Cup Sliced Pickled Jalapenos

Directions 

1. Pre heat oven to 450 F

2. In a large bowl, cut the cold butter into flour, starch and baking powder. Mix until well combined.

3. Add the buttermilk, 1/2 a cup of the cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup of the chopped jalapeno slices. Mix until a dough forms.

4. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough on a floured surface. Using a round cookie cutter or a cup, cut out biscuits.

5. Place onto an ungreased or parchment paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and jalapeños on top of each of the biscuits.

6. Bake for 8 – 10 minutes.

This recipe makes 10 Gluten Free Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits.
